Rapid Respawn Weekend

harpen your swords and ready your spells, for hordes of monsters are incoming! Another Rapid Respawn Weekend will soon be upon us!

Do not forget to donate enough gold for your favourite hunting ground to take full advantage of the event!

Between the server saves of December 06 and December 09, all monsters will respawn five times faster. Areas with an active improved respawn area bonus yield an even faster respawn time. Save the date!

Information on Recent Deletions

ear Tibians,

over the past weeks, the deletion of numerous accounts for using unofficial software to play has sparked significant discussion within the community. As always, we remain steadfast in our commitment to ensuring fair play in Tibia, and the fight against cheating is one of our top priorities.

We have also carefully listened to your feedback, especially regarding doubts and concerns over potential false positives. We value your feedback greatly and take it seriously.

In light of this, we have conducted an additional review of the deletions. In some cases, we intend to conduct even more in-depth investigations to verify the accuracy of these decisions and ensure that no false positives have occurred.
Accounts for which we plan to do such a detailed check will be contacted via email by our customer support team in the coming days, requesting their cooperation in this process. We kindly ask that you refrain from proactive inquiries regarding this matter, as our support team will directly reach out to those involved.

Moreover, we would like to address two specific questions that many players have raised:

1) Is it allowed to use the extra buttons on a gaming mouse as hotkeys?

Yes, you may use the extra buttons on your gaming mouse as hotkeys, provided you press them manually and follow the rule of "1 action = 1 button".

2) Could scrolling the mousewheel too quickly lead to account deletion?

No, scrolling the mousewheel very quickly does not result in an account deletion for using unofficial software to play. This will continue to apply unless officially announced otherwise.

Please keep in mind that you may not bind more than one action to a button. Mapping a series of commands to one button, for example the drinking of a mana potion followed by casting "exura", constitutes a macro, which can result in negative consequences if used in the game.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to address these concerns and strive to maintain a trustworthy and enjoyable environment for all Tibians.

Winter Update 2024 

he wait is over - the winter update for 2024 has officially arrived! Let us explore the content and features it introduces.

Pursue primordial demons and storm their malevolent fortress in the gripping quest, No Rest for the Wicked. Gather demonic core essences to shield yourself from the sinister corruption permeating Azzilon's castle and its shadowy catacombs, home to the formidable new inferniarch weapons. Unearth the hidden forge, collect essential materials, and upgrade your weapons through doomforging, arming them with frightful powers that help you defeat the demon lord in a climactic showdown.

We also have a variety of exciting and practical features lined up for you this time:

The Charm Overhaul is a comprehensive revamp and extension of the existing charm system. Thanks to the constructive feedback from players during the test phase, this system has undergone some fundamental changes. Charms have been reorganised into two categories: Major charms and Minor charms. Additionally, six new charms have been introduced - three major and three minor. Charms can now be upgraded from stage 1 to stage 3 using charm points or minor charm echoes, and players can equip two of them simultaneously on a creature from the Bestiary. Furthermore, a new option allows for a complete reset of all charms in exchange for gold.

With the introduction of the Stash Expansion, you can now store any item in unused condition in your stash, including unimbued and untiered equipment, as well as rings, amulets, and necklaces with full duration or all charges intact. We have implemented sorting options to sort your stashed items and and additional filtering options for item categories. Additionally, the stash dialog window has been expanded for improved clarity, and more NPCs have been included in the NPC filter.

Another enhancement involves the Exaltation Forge and boots. The new passive bonus, called Amplification, increases the likelihood that the bonus effects of your equipped tiered items will trigger. The higher the tier of your boots, the more powerful the passive bonus. As a further small convenience adjustment, you can now convert dust and slivers and increase your dust limit from anywhere by clicking the control button for the Exaltation Forge, which opens the Conversion tab and lets you perform these actions without visiting the forge. 

The Cyclopedia now includes two new additions. The Magical Archive, a completely new tab, offers comprehensive information on spells and runes. Additionally, the Combat Stats have been revamped and enhanced with lots of detailed and useful information.

Finally, the Quest Log and Quest Tracker have been redesigned to improve clarity and user-friendliness. You can now search, filter, sort, pin, or hide quests. Accepted quests are automatically added to the tracker, and completed quests are removed.

As already announced in the news ticker last week, please note that the Magical Archive and the Charm Overhaul will not be available for legacy client users.

Winter Update Changes during Test Server

few days ago, we finished the test phase of the winter update after two productive weeks of testing with you. In response to the comprehensive feedback we received, numerous changes were made during and after the test. With the update's release approaching, here is an overview of notable adjustments:

Charm Overhaul

We have revised the planned Charm Overhaul to tailor it more closely to your needs and suggestions. In a nutshell, we have renamed the category "Active Charms" to "Major Charms" and the category "Passive Charms" to "Minor Charms", reallocated some charms, adjusted values, changed the unlocking process for minor charms, and introduced three new major charms.

Major Charms

  • Major charms are unlocked and upgraded by using Charm Points as before.
    • For each of these actions, you will receive Minor Charm Echoes, which are needed to unlock and upgrade minor charms.
    • Unlock (stage 1): 50 Minor Charm Echoes.
    • Stage 2: 100 Minor Charm Echoes.
    • Stage 3: 200 Minor Charm Echoes.
    • In total, unlocking and fully upgrading one major charm rewards you with 350 Minor Charm Echoes.
  • Three new major charms have been added to expand your possibilities:
    • Carnage: Killing a monster has a 10/20/22% chance to deal physical damage equal to 15% of its maximum HP to all monsters in a small radius. The radius is 1. It is capped to cause maximum damage of 6 times the character level.
    • Overpower: Your attacks have a 5/10/11% chance to deal damage equal to 5% of your maximum health. It is capped to 8% of the target's maximum HP.
    • Overflux: Your attacks have a 5/10/11% chance to deal damage equal to 2.5% of your maximum mana. It is capped to 8% of the target's maximum HP.
    • All three charms cost 600/900/3000 Charm Points for their respective stage. Carnage deals physical damage. Overpower and Overflux deal the same damage type as the charm Parry.
  • The values of the new charm Savage Blow have been raised to 20/40/44% Critical Extra Damage (from 15/30/33%).
  • The damage cap of elemental charms (Curse, Divine Wrath, Enflame, Freeze, Poison, Wound, Zap) has been lowered to 2 times the character level (from 2.5 times).
  • The prices for unlocking a major charm (stage 1) and upgrading it to stage 2 have been swapped. Stage 1 now costs less than stage 2.
  • All major charms have been given a consistent red colouring.

Minor Charms

  • Minor Charm Echoes are obtained through unlocking and upgrading major charms as explained earlier.
    • Additionally, promoting your character grants you 100 Minor Charm Echoes. All characters that are promoted by the time of the update will receive these 100 Minor Charm Echoes retroactively.
  • The prices for unlocking and upgrading minor charms are as follows:
    • Unlock (stage 1): 100 Minor Charm Echoes.
    • Stage 2: 150 Minor Charm Echoes.
    • Stage 3: 225 Minor Charm Echoes.
    • In total, unlocking and fully upgrading one minor charm costs 475 Minor Charm Echoes.
  • Minor charms can already be assigned to a creature as soon as you have unlocked stage 2 of its Bestiary entry.
  • The following formerly active charms have been changed into minor charms and their values have been adjusted:
    • Adrenaline Burst: 6/9/12%.
    • Numb: 6/9/12%.
    • Cripple: 6/9/12%.
    • Cleanse: 6/9/12%.
    • Vampiric Embrace: 1.6/2.4/3.2%.
    • Void's Call: 0.8/1.2/1.6%.
  • The values of the following minor charms have been adjusted:
    • Bless: 6/9/12%.
    • Gut: 6/9/12%.
    • Scavenge: 60/90/120%.
    • Fatal Hold: 30/45/60%.
    • Void Inversion: 20/30/40%.
  • All minor charms have been given a consistent blue colouring.

Other Changes

  • The prices for a full charm reset have been adjusted. Up to and including level 100, the cost is fixed at 100,000 gold. Starting from level 101, the cost is now 100,000 gold + 11,000 gold per level (up from 5,000 gold per level at the start of the test). Here are some examples:
    • Level 100 → 100,000 gold (previously 500,000).
    • Level 500 → 4,500,000 gold (previously 2,500,000).
    • Level 1000 → 10,000,000 gold (previously 5,000,000).
    • Level 2000 → 21,000,000 gold (previously 10,000,000).
  • The Bestiary entry of a creature will continue to offer the possibility to assign and remove a charm.
  • Both your current Charm Points and Minor Charm Echoes, as well as their maximum capacity, will be displayed.
  • Upon your character's first login after the update, unlocked charms will be adjusted as follows:
    • Charms that fall into the Major Charms category upon release will automatically be converted to stage 2. You will also receive the corresponding number of Minor Charm Echoes (150 per charm).
    • Charms that now fall in the Minor Charms category will be reset. You will regain the Charm Points you spent to unlock them.

Exaltation Forge: Boots

  • We have increased the passive bonus granted by Amplification so that it scales better, especially at higher tiers:
    • Tier 1: 2.50% (no change).
    • Tier 2: 5.40% (from 5.25%).
    • Tier 3: 9.10% (from 8.50%).
    • Tier 4: 13.60% (from 12.25%).
    • Tier 5: 18.90% (from 16.50%).
    • Tier 6: 25.00% (from 21.25%).
    • Tier 7: 31.90% (from 26.50%).
    • Tier 8: 39.60% (from 32.25%).
    • Tier 9: 48.10% (from 38.50%).
    • Tier 10: 57.40% (from 45.25%).
  • We have also adjusted the classification of the following boots:
    • Golden Boots: 3 (from 4).
    • Depth Calcei: 3 (from 2).
    • Treader of Torments: 4 (from 3).

Miscellaneous

  • The Stash: We have implemented sorting options to sort your stashed items by name, Market value, total Market value, sell-to value, total sell-to value, and quantity. Moreover, the Stash dialog window has been increased to provide a better overview, and we have also added further NPCs to the NPC filter.
  • We have refined the New Combat Stat Overview further by adding information about the cooldowns of cupcakes, Jean Pierre, and Hireling Cook foods, distance fighting accuracy, and the flat bonus to damage/healing provided by your level and the Wheel of Destiny. The Magical Archive and the Quest Log have also received some fixes and small optimisations.
  • Based on your feedback and our evaluations, we have fine-tuned the new questline and bosses, balanced the new hunting grounds and creatures, and adjusted the stats of the new weapons and equipment.

All announced changes will be implemented with the release of the winter update. Of course, we will also carefully observe the impact and usage of the new features and content after release, continuing to fine-tune and balance them as needed.

We would like to thank all players who helped us during the test by trying out the new contents and by sharing their experiences and feedback with us. Your dedication contributed to improving the update, and we are excited about its upcoming release.

Price Adjustments for Webshop Products

ear Tibians,

to reflect ongoing inflation, we have to adjust the pricing of our Webshop products Premium Time, Tibia Coins, and the extra services Recovery Key and Recovery TAN:

On December 02, 2024, 10:00 CET, the prices of these products will increase by approximately 2% to 4%, depending on your location. Please note that only Webshop products will be affected, ingame prices in the Store will not be changed.

We are mindful of the impact that inflation and rising costs are having globally, and we know these challenges affect many of you as well. While we strive to minimise the effects of increasing costs, it is not possible for us to absorb them entirely, making this step essential in responding to the economic shifts in recent years.
Further price adjustments will be required in the future as we continue to adapt to these economic conditions. We will do our best to keep such adjustments as manageable as possible, making these decisions with the utmost care and consideration.

Our aim is always to deliver meaningful updates, improvements, and a great Tibia experience. These steps help support the ongoing development and enhancement of Tibia so we can continue to enrich the game with content and features you enjoy.

Monster Rampage on the Isle of Merriment

he test of this year's winter update is coming to a close, and so it is time again to open the Isle of Merriment for you on Testa, Testera, and Testebra.

Savage beasts and ravenous enemies, among them beloved Ferumbras and the notorious dream crusher Community Handler 2.0 CipSoft, will be summoned by CMs there. You can also explore the isle, say hello to a few nostalgic fellows, marvel at a display of rare items, and visit our dungeon to see imprisoned villains from your last nightmare.

Testa: 16:30 until 17:00 CET

Testera: 17:15 until 17:45 CET

Testebra: 18:00 until 18:30 CET

Where? A teleporter will appear south of Thais crossroads several minutes before the start. Just step in to access the Isle of Merriment.

Account Protection Changes 

ear Tibians!

With today's update, we have implemented account-based protection based on device cookies. Players do not need to take any action in this regard. A device cookie is automatically created after successfully logging in for the first time.

Please be aware that if a player attempts to log in from an unrecognised device while there are also malicious attempts, they must first verify their eligibility through a link sent via email. After this verification, a device cookie is established, the device is recognised as known, and the player can log in seamlessly.

Additionally, if a potential unauthorised access attempt is detected, involving the correct email address and password along with an attempt to guess the two-factor code, access will be blocked and an email will be sent to the linked email address to notify that the password may be compromised.

The privacy policy in the Legal Documents section has also been updated and includes the device cookies protection.

The Lightbearer

he nights are getting darker and darker! It is up to you to brighten the sky, or evil forces will break through into our world. Team up with your comrades and show the darkness what you are made of!

From server save November 11 until server save November 15, ten fire basins need to be kept burning to dispel the lingering gloom. But watch out - if a single light goes out, your world has failed!

Please note that we have made some changes to the event, as announced in the August news article:

  • The level cap for redeeming midnight shards has been removed, and the maximum number of midnight shards that can be redeemed for experience has been increased to 80 (from 40).
  • The burning time of the basins has been increased from 2 to 3 hours.
  • In addition to the shared XP bonus, a world reward of +3% life leech and +1% mana leech will now be available until the end of November.
  • Players will receive 1-3 midnight shards for lighting a basin, with the shards being placed directly into the player's inventory.
  • The final brocade backpack reward has a rare chance to include a new item, the celestial torch.

 If you are interested in helping, you may want to visit Lucius in Yalahar once the event has started. Also, some of our supported and promoted fansites provide detailed guides with useful information about this happening, so pay them a visit. It is also a good idea to check your world board to see if other players have already started with preparations for the Lightbearer.

Charmingly Dangerous

hat on earth?! How are you still breathing? I was sure you were a goner. That demon had you in a real tight spot. And that last blow - wow! How did you pull that off, you sly fox?

Oh, I've been cooking up some tricks! I've been deep in research, experimenting and fine-tuning my strategies. I'm an alchemist who mixes it up on the battlefield. Stick with me, follow my lead, and your hunting game is about to level up. Ready to dive in?

Charm up your hunt

With the winter update we are expanding the Charm system to provide you with even more powerful choices and some very practical fine-tuning options. In medias res!

Three brand new charms are introduced: 

  • Savage Blow is an offensive charm that adds critical extra damage to attacks with critical hit weapons.
  • Fatal Hold is a passive charm with the chance to prevent creatures from fleeing due to low health for 30 seconds.
  • Void Inversion is a passive charm with the chance to gain mana when taking mana drain damage.

Each charm can now be upgraded from level 1 to 3.

  • Unlocking each level requires Charm Points.
  • The second level matches the current value of the charm and its costs.
  • All charms can be reset at once for 5,000 gold per character level. The first reset is free.
  • The cost to remove charms from creatures remains the same at 100 gold per character level.
  • The Cyclopedia now displays the precise trigger chance of each charm and for each level.

Example:

As an important part of the changes, players will now be able to assign an active charm (offensive/defensive) and a passive charm on a creature at the same time.

This makes the charm system more powerful, which means that the values of some charms now need to be adjusted. The charms Curse, Divine Wrath, Enflame, Freeze, Poison, Wound, and Zap are therefore capped to cause a maximum damage of 2.5 times the character level. 

Example: When a level 500 character attacks a monster with 30,000 HP and triggers a damage charm, the charm deals only 1,250 damage because of the cap, instead of 1,500, which would be 5% of the monster's HP. In this scenario, the character would need to be level 600 to reach the damage output that was possible before the level cap was introduced.

The Scavenge charm now grants a 100% increased chance on level 2 to successfully skin or dust a target. This chance is multiplicative instead of additive and, as such, depends on the base skin/dust chance of the creature. The value of the Gut charm has been halved. On level 2 gutting the creature yields 10% more creature products instead of 20%. 

Finally, some charm types have been modified to make the structure of the system more accurate. The charm Low Blow has been categorised as an offensive charm, while Vampiric Embrace and Void's Call are now defensive charms.

An overview of all existing and new charms and their categories:

  • Defensive Charms: Adrenalin Burst, Cleanse, Dodge, Numb, Parry, Vampiric Embrace and Void's Call.
  • Offensive Charms: Cripple, Curse, Divine Wrath, Enflame, Freeze, Low Blow, Poison, Wound, Zap and Savage Blow
  • Passive Charms: Bless, Gut, Scavenge, Fatal Hold and Void Inversion.

Please note that with the update the Charm system will only be available in the regular Tibia client. With the legacy client it will no longer be possible to adjust charms.
