Fifth Vocation Updates during Test Server

ear Tibians!

A few days ago, we finished the last test phase of the fifth vocation. Overall, there were three highly effective and beneficial test phases.

We, the whole Tibia team, would like to extend our gratitude once again to all the participants and especially to those who provided feedback. Without your contributions, integrating the monk into the game this way would not have been possible.

In response to the comprehensive feedback we received, numerous changes were made during and after the test. With the update's release approaching, here is an overview of notable adjustments that will go live with the launch of the fifth vocation:

General changes:

  • Using a spender spell reduces the cooldowns of builder spells by 2 seconds for each harmony point consumed.
  • To reduce the power of autoattacks, the bonus from the three-fold path has been reduced from 100% to 50%.
  • The base bonus from harmony has been reduced from 15% to 10%.
  • Mantra will no longer be doubled while serene, and the amount of mantra provided by gear has been slightly reduced.
  • Monks can no longer use ultimate healing runes.
  • When using arcs, you can now choose which side displays harmony and serene.
  • The character limit for all accounts has been increased from 20 to 25.

    • Chained Penance can now jump to targets up to 2 squares away.
    • Reduced chain targets to 3.
    • Base power increased to 111.
    • Extra damage per chain reduced to 3%.
    • Replaced augment I: Now increases chain targets by 1 instead of increasing damage.
  • Greater Flurry of Blows:
    • Base power set to 100.
    • Cooldown increased from 10 to 16 seconds.
  • Flurry of Blows:
    • Base power reduced from 68 to 65.
    • Augment II: Increased from +8% to +12% base damage.
  • Forceful Uppercut:
    • Cooldown increased from 40 to 60 seconds.
    • Supreme mod Augment Forceful Uppercut cooldown reduction has been replaced by Augment Spirit Mend.
  • Greater Tiger Clash:
    • Base power increased from 36 to 44.
  • Double Jab:
    • Reduced mana cost from 35 to 30.

  • Balanced Brawl:
    • Balanced Brawl was adjusted to hit a much larger area in a half-circle shape in front of the monk and no longer needs a target.
    • Increased effect duration from 12 to 16 seconds.
    • Can no longer be used in protection zones.
  • Restore Balance:
    • Base power increased from 400 to 425.
  • Focus Harmony:
    • Cooldown reduced from 300 seconds to 120 seconds. In turn, the effect of the supreme mod has been reduced from -75 seconds to -30 seconds.
    • Augment Focus Harmony increased cooldown from -60s to -75s.

    • Cooldown reduced from 3600 seconds to 600 seconds. In turn, the effect of the supreme mod has been reduced from -300 seconds to -150 seconds.
  • Spiritual Outburst:
    • When used with 5 harmony, it will repeat its chain effect after a 1-second delay with 37.5%/50%/62.5% of the original damage.
    • Base power reduced to 42.

  • Monks received access to Inflict Wound.

Virtues:

  • The healing provided by virtues has been significantly reduced compared to the monk’s initial version, especially at lower levels.
  • The healing from virtues now starts lower but scales more effectively with the amount of harmony generated or consumed. Spells that generate or use only 1 harmony will heal up to 25% less.
  • The fist fighting bonus from Virtue of Justice has been reduced from 15% to 10% (or from 30% to 20% while serene).

Experimental Aiming Mode:

We have added a new aiming mode for directional spells. This experimental aiming mode can be optionally activated and deactivated for every spell in the Magical Archive.
When in this mode, directional spells are cast in the direction of your current target. If you do not have a target, it will still release the spell in your viewing direction.
During the test phase, this feature was only available to monks; however, all vocations will be able to use it moving forward, once the new vocation has been officially launched.

Other:
Throughout the test, we have gathered feedback and made adjustments to the Desert Dungeon Quest, the Elemental Spheres Quest and other already existing quests. Furthermore, we made changes to various items and resolved numerous smaller bugs.

Fulfil your destiny!
